965 Marine Dr Just west of Capilano Mall V7P 1S4,
Quality of food not authentic Chinese food. Portions are small and overpriced. There are alot of better Chinese restaurants in North Vancouver.
The sweet and sour pork tasted stale...not fresh and there was waaaaay too much MSG. I had a sore stomach for 2 days!
Absolutely love this place! Have been going here for over a year now and love it. Affordable prices, big portion sizes, great tasting food and the service is exceptional! It's no wonder they have been around for so long. Excellent experience every-time. :)
Great food and large portions
Chinese food, but "westernized," not only that, but their dishes has lots of fillers that don't cost very much (cabbage, carrots, celery). Flavours are dull but salty. Good place to go for big portions of the type of Chinese food they serve at malls (sweet and sour pork, fried rice, noodles, broccoli, etc). Good service, small restaurant and clean. Parking may be difficult as there aren't many spaces
Generous portions and the lady hostess was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our lunch.
We shared a "Dinner for Two" at lunch time (?) in takeout fashion. The cost was $36 (including the taxes) which was definitely too expensive for a very disappointing meal. The sweet and sour spareribs were tough, the chop suey soggy and the chicken chow mein blah. Take a pass on this spot.
We ordered takeout for the first time at Ming’s Garden. The phone service was great, the food was on time and it was actually very good. We will definitely order from here again.
Absolutely The Worst Chinese food, ever! You'd be better off buying in the frozen food section at your supermarket. Makes shopping mall food fare joints taste like gourmet. I ordered cashew chicken, and the cashews were stale, the vegetables overcooked. The house special chow mein was just simply terrible and inedible. I should have been more suspect when my takeout order was ready in 5 minutes. Many better options in North Van, don't make this one of your choices.
Tiny, take out. Decent value and quality. Ask about MSG.
Always a great and yummy experience with friendly staff
Absolute disgusting food. I ordered a chicken rice plate. The small pieces of chicken were all disgusting, filled with fat. The veggies were uncooked. Making rice chicken is not rocket science but for these guys it really is.
The Best Chinese food ever
One of the best Chinese food restaurants on marine drive north Vancouver
yall should do the cinnamon challenge
My favourite Chinese restaurant in North Vancouver. I have been going there for many years. 5+ years
Good food, good portion sizes and friendly helpful staff.
Salt and pepper prawns are amazing. Love the Szechewan style pork chops. Lots of great choices available. Lily is always very polite, has a great memory, and the chefs do a great job getting out food in a timely manner. Very consistent! Order your food from here, won't disappoint.
Great service / Great Food!
After Capilano Heights closed we have been casting around looking for good Chinese food. Settled for convenient and usually quick. But Kitchen is small so if they have a busy night you may need to wait. Wise to ask how long before ordering.
Favorite Chinese place on the North Shore especially for the prices
I love this place so much that after moving to Pitt Meadows we make special trips to North Van just to visit to get my "usual" no matter how long I've been gone, I'm always greeted with a warm welcome back and a terrific smile. Love it, love it!
Hidden Treasure! Wonderful food, clean restaurant, friendly helpful staff. Will definitely eat here again; next time I am in Vancouver.
We ordered take out this evening and it was not well cooked and now we are ill. Go elsewhere.
Great place! We are in Vancouver for a visit and we ate at this restaurant.Owner treats us like a family. Very nice people and good food..Highly recommend it
I went for their lunch special .They have lots of options ,with delicious fresh cooked food and generous quantity plus service is great ðŸ‘
I've spent most of my time eating there.i get take outs. That last me two days. For 20$ includes tip and a beer
Cheap, good quality food, a bit cramped and not exactly classy. They have some great combo platters for one, with a ton of food
We ordered in tonight...Sesame Chicken BBQ pork chow mein Spring rollsWonton is spicy garlic sauce These dishes were so bland and mushy and the chicken was super tough and chewy. It was incredibly disappointing. Other dishes might be good but I would avoid these and we won’t be ordering from them again anytime soon.
Dishes were soo good! Definitely recommended!!
By far the worst take out delivery Chinese food ever! Chowmein was raw and my fried rice was steamed rice with frozen veggies. The garlic ribs were very tasty at least.....$50.00 wasted last night from this place, if I could have sent it back, I would have! Complete joke of a restaurant..... Stay away from this place.
Been coming here for years, my kids and I love the food. Never been a long wait, foods always great. Service fantastic. My kids love the drink options too.
Still the best chinese restaurant in the North Shore.Good honest authentic food, good portions at an affordable price.Lily is so gracious and she will serve you quickly. One of my favourites, "Sizzling Chicken and Black Pepper".Come and try them.......you'll be satisfied.Norm Lowe
ALOT of food for the price you pay, and its tasty!
Very nice. Quick service.
Great local restaurant. Fresh and tasty food
very good food, helpful and polite staff, portion size is relevant to the price of the food, very clean well organized restaurant.
Ordered the Singapore Fried Rice Noodle off their lunch specials. Pleasantly surprised - the noodles were dry yet fully separated/not clumpy, with appropriate flavor and spice, lots of ingredients/toppings included and of utmost importance for Chinese food, piping hot. Originally hesitant to try because the menu looked like the kind of place that only catered to non-Chinese people, but as someone born in HK and raised in Richmond eating Chinese food regularly, I'd have to say... kudos to the chef.
Not many really good old school Chinese restaurants left in North Van. The food is really fresh and tasty. Love it.
It was alright. Nothing extraordinary. Probably wont go again though. Service was very good and the place was clean and simple.
Above average chinese. Portions are large, I really enjoyed my combo dish. Service is good. 8 would recommend trying it.
Ming's Garden is a popular lunch spot for many nearby workers. They offer big portions for the price. You almost want to take a nap after eating there because you will leave so stuffed. Lily, the owner, is very nice and offers great service. Ming's Garden has a history in North Vancouver, is use to be in Edgemont Village for many years before moving to the current spot near Cap Mall. My recommendation is to get lunch combo "H", you won't regret it (unless you are trying to lose weight)
Consistent service, excellent food for cheap price, and friendly staff. Cannot go wrong with Mings Garden.
Good food at a good price. I got there just when it opened and within 5 minutes 5 other people had come in for lunch. It was a good sign. I went off of a rating I saw on my phone in Chrome. I ordered the 'H' - Lunch special. The only thing I have to say negative is that they didn't put any almond gravy on my almond chicken, only some crushed almonds. Maybe that's the way they do it, but it was basically breaded chicken breast. The sesame chicken, spring roll and fried rice were good. No fortune cookie, but maybe they don't include them. Besides the fortune cookie was an American invention. I'd go back again.
I like the taste of their food. good price. But it was a small, old styled restaurant with few tables. Definitely will go again.
First time eating at Ming Garden Restaurant.Enjoyed our takeout. 😊
Generous portions and not too bad.
No stars at all!!! ordered for delivery and i asked what our total is and they said $61.43 so i could get the money ready, we waited for over an hour and when the food gets to our place, they told us that the total is 81.48 which is not the price that they told us because they said someone give me the wrong price so i talked to the manager (they didn't even apologize) and i told them i will give them the $70 cash i've got because that was the only cash i've got and they got mad and said they would not give us the food if we don't give the exact money!! so the delivery guy kept on yelling at us and even slammed our door!!!
What a treat this place is. I drove past it so many times and never really took notice until today I decided to order in some Chinese and landed on their page - no regrets!! Their food was absolutely delicious, portions are NOT for one normal person, it most definitely will feed me for another full day. Complete bonus that the food was delivered hot and packed neatly. My one regret (yes, there is always one) is that they only gave me one fortune cookie, but there was 2 of us eating. No biggie though! For sure not enough to take away from the taste. Will go again, guaranteed.
Nice staff but horrible food. The chicken looked like some strange synthetic bleached chicken. Really poor quality food. Will never go back again.
I asked for delivery once that fried wings not fresh which made me sick.
